First Aid for Sunburns
We all know about the damage to much sun exposure can cause but did you know we receive most of our sun damage when we are children? Reducing your exposure to the sun will decrease premature aging and reduce the risk of skin cancer. Here's how you treat a sunburn.

A sunburn is a mild first degree burn causing redness and pain that lasts a few hours. Severe sunburns can also blister this is a mild second degree burn.

First Aid Treatment
Seek medical help if...
- The sunburn covers large parts of the body
- You feel overly tired and fatigued
- Fever or chills
- Nausea or vomiting
- Signs of dehydration (overly thirsty, headaches, dry eyes and mouth)
- Dizziness, fainting or weakness
- Facial swelling because of sunburn
- Signs of infection (increased redness, swelling, pain or pus)
